September Rituals

“As soon as I get the new candle, I swap out my old one (which has usually burned down completely at that point), light the wick, and just take a deep inhale.”

— Candle Rituals from a Keaper

The Seasonal Scent

Each month, we choose a scent to match the season from our range of nature-inspired scents, and we send this scent to our Seasonal Scent subcribers.

SEASONAL SCENT, September: Canyons

Warm and evocative Canyons calls to mind a Sonoran sunset with creamy sandalwood, gently smoky juniper, and the pleasant musk of sage.

This month's complimentary preview tealight is of October's Reading Room.

What's Included

Stand beneath a vast desert sky with our current Seasonal member shipment containing a Canyons candle, a tealight preview of next month’s seasonal scent (Reading Room), plus a limited-edition art card, matchbook, and coaster .

Candle Burning Tips

Each time you use your candle, trim the wick to 3⁄8” (about the width of your pinky finger) before you light it. This helps ensure a smaller, safer flame and less soot.

Each time you burn your candle, burn it for 2-3 hours. This will not only maximize the fragrance throw, but also help avoid "tunneling," where the candle burns down the middle, leaving wax around the edges.

For safety reasons:

▶ Don’t burn your candle when less than a 1/2” of wax remains.
▶ Never leave a burning candle unattended!

Tealight Burning Tips

The tealights are indicative of what our full candles smell like, but our full candles are much more powerful. To appreciate each scent, burn the tealight nearby or in a small room—bathrooms are a great place to test.

Not feeling next month's scent? You can always swap to Wood Cabin or skip your next shipment. Make the change directly in your account -or- email us at, and we'll make the change for you.

Some safety tips for your tealights:

▶ Don’t leave lit candles (even tealights!) burning unattended.
▶ Burn on a flat surface.
▶ Be careful as the tins can get hot!
