Happy holidays from the Keap team!
We shipped our last orders yesterday before our annual winter break.
We’ll be closed until our return to the studio on January 2nd. When we say closed, we really mean it: We will not be shipping, making candles, or answering emails during our break.
We’ve taken this time away each year since starting Keap in 2015, and it allows us to rest and reconnect after a busy holiday season, coming back refreshed and inspired for 2025!
Orders placed during the break will be shipped when we return. If you have questions or issues while we are out, we will make sure you are well taken care of as soon as we return.
In the meantime, you can find the answers to most order-related questions on our shipping status page and in our FAQ .
If you are in need of a last minute gift, you can still buy our e-gift cards while we’re out.
2024 in Pictures 📸
Ask anyone on the team: 2024 will go down as an eventful year! Here’s a small smattering of the highlights we’ll remember:
Strike a Pose
Our first matchbox in the new jumbo format
At the start of the year, based on Keaper survey feedback, we upgraded our subscriber matchbox format from a mini-once-a-month box to a less frequent jumbo matchbox. Not only are we delighted to bring back long matches, but we like to think the boxes are a work of art on their own.
Later in the year, we delved deeper into our love of matchboxes with a limited edition collaboration with Studio Fishball.

In the spring, you contributed hundreds of submissions and votes to our first ever photo contest , capturing the mood of our scents. We loved seeing them interpreted through your camera lenses!
Helen’s entry representing Grapefruit + Yuzu , pictured above, gathered the most votes and gave us a chuckle!

We developed new partnerships with several exciting new businesses and launched our stockists page , so you can easily find where you can shop Keap in person.
While you'll rarely see us in sponsored/affiliate-driven product roundups, more and more people have been noticing our candles in the bathrooms of award-winning independent restaurants. It has been an exceptional year for our hospitality partners this year with a myriad of James Beard nominations, The Infatuation picks, and a fresh Michelin star .

Our team has welcomed a new baby each year since 2021 (starting with my little boy, Leo) – with only 2022 taking a break from the pattern! Parental leaves on our small team bring both celebrations and disruptions, while also creating opportunities to rethink how our team and work are structured.
As always, we took ourselves out of the studio for our quarterly Extravaganza Candleganza days, where we find inspiration, learning, and connection to our local community. This year's most memorable highlight was our visit to our new fragrance partners Mane, where we gained deep insight into their ingredients and methods.

In November, hundreds of Keapees kicked off a wave of gratitude by sharing and voting on beautiful appreciations for people in their respective communities. Tara's winning submission honored Kisha's work in gender equity within the world of entrepreneurship . We're excited to offer Kisha an expenses-paid trip to Hudson, NY, where she'll experience firsthand the workings of the Keap studio and other Walden Mutual partner businesses.

We worked closely with Jono Pandolfi on a special ceramic candle collaboration , and then we teamed up a couple weeks ago for the biggest holiday pop-up we’ve ever done. This year we hosted more pop-ups in NYC and the Hudson Valley than ever before. It was great to see so many of you in person!

3½ years after the release of Canyons , we launched a new scent—and may I say, it was worth the wait!
Timur Moon harnesses the intoxicating fragrance of Timur Pepper while representing something even bigger: the culmination of two years of research and development to usher in a new era of 100% plant-based, 100% biodegradable, transparent fragrance formulas for our candles.
We're deeply grateful to our Keaper Lab members whose valuable feedback helped shape this launch.
